I was drooling over your picture, but ok I will try to explain.

Basically water is what it is, water, h20 as the symbol in the table. Cells need water to work, if you do not drink while having water blood struggles (bloods main cell and the reason of its colour is the red blood cell) to go through your body, especially your brain, and one of the 1st early signs of dehydration is in fact fainting, blacking out etc:

It is not only us the person who needs the water, its in fact the cells in our body, and may i be abit groosome, the skin, guts and flesh. Moisture pratically keeps our body clean and absorbing liquid for our cells to work.

Bye bye pretty face!

Basically, it is for one reason only, it is the universal solvent. It is a polar molecule that can break down and carry everything, it carries out many pH problems in the body. It is not viscous and allows for simple transportation, and since it is generally neutral, it is easy to buffer to a certain pH, allowing our cells to not denature.
