If the temperature is zero degrees today, and tomorrow it will be twice as cold, how cold will it be

The easiest thing to do would be to convert to another temperature system and figure it from there where you have a number that isnt zero.Even then, the question really doesnt work because you cant be twice as cold or hot.The reason being is that 0 in either F or C doesnt mean no temperature. Its just a point on the thermometer relative to the freezing point of water.Unless youre using Kelvins in which 0 Kelvins means there is literally no temperature.......
Brian, reading comprehension isn't your strong point is it?

Degrees are relative to the temperature scale you are using. The easiest thing to do would be to convert to another temperature system and figure it from there where you have a number that isn't zero.

Even then, the question really doesn't work because you can't be twice as cold or hot. The reason being is that 0 in either F or C doesn't mean no temperature. It's just a point on the thermometer relative to the freezing point of water. Unless you're using Kelvins in which 0 Kelvins means there is literally no temperature. No molecular motion. Than you could say twice freezing is 2*273.15K which would be 546.3K or 523.67 degrees Fahrenheit. Twice as cold as 273.15K would be impossible because it would be less than no temperature.

There. Clear as mud?

depends whether it's 0º Celsius or Farenheit. if it's Celsius, its 136.515 Kelvin, if its Farenheit, it's 235.37222222 Kelvin. if it's 0º Kelvin, its either -273.15 Celsius, or -459.67 Farenheit.

twice as cold as what? the sun? a ham and cheese sandwich?

thats like saying in 25 years i will be 4 times as old.

-
-136.5 Celsius

-
That would make it "colder than a witches titty"

-
ummm... im no nerd, so ill say negative 20 :)
