Compared to the rest of the world, Vancouver has the same cold winters as most places in this world. I alway end up freezing to death in the winter in Van, even when I am wearing a thick jacket. If it was mild here, people wouldn't dress in winter clothes. so, regardless of the rest of the canada, would you still say it's mild, or cold, or harsh, etc.....
