I started yesterday--today being the second day--and I feel constantly on edge, very anxious. I've had problems with anxiety in the past, though nothing too extreme, but it feels like I'm on the verge of having a full-blown panic attack. Do these "on-edge" feelings subside? Because it feels like my concentration, which is supposed to improve from taking Concerta (ADHD), is being affected from feeling like this. My doctor is aware of my anxiety when she prescribed me Concerta. I have tried an SSRI (Ciprilex) two-months prior to my ADHD diagnosis but to no avail, as I got some pretty nasty side effects and my anxiety wasn't so bad to begin with; after this, she believed I have ADHD and this is where I stand, now.

If you just started taking these meds it will take some adjusting too. If you have very bad side effects that affect your judgment and coordination I would stop taking them immediately. tell your physician you do not like these medicines side effects and they are not helping your condition. If there are alternative meds and/or treatment available. If your symptoms do not subside I would slowly refrain from taking the dosages. Also keep a daily log of how your feeling while on these meds. Record any tid bit that you may feel is a result of this medicine. I hope you feel better.
