Photosynthesis and Nursing

nursing home, or hospital solarium adds more than beauty. Some would say it enriches the environment. I would tend to agree.-FFS, does it kill you to learn something that doesnt directly relate to nursing?......
Why is it important for Nurses to understand the process of Photosynthesis?

-
It's important for nurses to have a general knowledge and appreciation for all aspects of science and biology. On a practical level, there is ample documentation that plants utilize carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen back into the air. Having plants growing exuberantly in a sick room, nursing home, or hospital solarium adds more than beauty. Some would say it enriches the environment. I would tend to agree.

FFS, does it kill you to learn something that doesn't directly relate to nursing?

Photosynthesis is an EASY biochemical process, so learning it can prepare you to learn about more involved biochemical processes, like the Krebs cycle, uric acid cycle, and so forth.

Your patients are not going to be photosynthesizing, but they will have diseases that involve other biochemical pathways, and being able to understand that will only help you.
