Translate the following into equation:
1. A father is 30 years old and his son is 5 years old. In how many years will the father be twice as old as the son?
2. Micaela is 15 years old now, and her mother is 38 years old now. In how many years will Micaela be half as old as her mother?
3. A sales representatives sold a living room set for 3500, making 30% profit on the cost. How much did it cost?
4. The businessman invested 48,000 part at 51/2% and the rest at 61/2% annual interest. How much does he invest at 61/2% if his annual income from both investments is 1,890?
5. A certain number has two digits. The unit's digit is twice the ten's digit. If the digits are inverted, the new number will be 36 more than the original number. Find the original number.
6. Divide 152 in two parts, so that if the bigger is divided smaller the answer is 1 2/3. From the equation.
7. Alfonso and Bernie start driving from the same point going in opposite directions. Their rates are 30 kph and 56 kph respectively. After how many hours will they be 630 kilometers apart?
8. Pamela and Rossana can finish a piece of work in 3 days. Pamela working alone can finish it in 4 days. How many days would take Rossana to do it alone?
9. Five hundred tickets for a benefit show netted 3,555. Balcony tickets ae sold at 7.50 each and orchestra tickets at 2.50 each. How many tickets of each kind were sold?
10. A rectangular lot is 5 meters longer than its width. If the length were 3 meters shorter, its are would be 30 square meters less. What are the dimensions of the lot?
