so now relative to space you are lower than the enigmatic light speed but relative to a distant observer you have crossed the threshold and POOF! you vanish and appear somewhere in the past with two yous! cheerio!-Is this seriously a real question. But practically it is only possible to travel faster than light (relatively) if are so close to the edge of a black hole that the space rotating around the black hole is itself rotating faster than light. so now relative to space you are lower than the enigmatic light speed but relative to a distant observer you have crossed the threshold and POOF! you vanish and appear somewhere in the past with two yous! cheerio!

Is this seriously a real question. Scientifically it is possible in theory Basically space is like a piece of paper, tarp etc....you can bend it, tear it, fold it, put a hole in it, push it down in one area(like a planets gravity would do)
However, the actual mechanics and machine to do this is mind boggling. So is it realistic: probably not but who knows a our knowledge is very limited.
Now for why you want to go back in time...sure we all had great times but if you went back who knows what it would be like. Would you merge with yourself, would you just be there with yourself, would people be able to see and hear you, would we get the right time right(you might get sent back to medieval europe or something), would you **** **** up in the future by your presence?

Sorry, but I don't think you can. In theory, it would contradict the laws of "cause and effect". For example if u went back to prevent yourself from ever being born, how could you have existed to go back in time in the first place? But u never really know, the next steve jobs might create such a device!
