When it is at it's brightest?

In all probability nothing. The risks from observing the Sun with the naked eye are greatly exaggerated. Most people can look at the Sun indefinitely and have no effects in the short term, apart possibly from sore eyes for the rest of the day. However, that is only most people: tolerances vary and for some it will cause severe and irreparable damage. Are you willing to take that chance? One thing we can rule out is your eyeballs boiling or any other exaggerated symptoms: when your pupils are fully contracted the power entering your eyes is reduced to a few milliwatts: that is potentially enough to cause retinal damage if you are one of the susceptible people, but its thermal effects can basically be dismissed.
In any event, prolonged looking at the Sun is a very good way to dramatically increase your chances of developing cataracts later in life: it may not cause short term damage but your eyes simply aren't designed to do that.

My dad says that it would be really tough to do without sunglasses. However you probably will still be able to see. The effects of this will really be noticeable when you look a way, You'll probably see a green splotch of color that you can ever look straight in to. This is because this green splotch is a where the optic nerve is (blind spot)
-
The pain in your eyes would make to turn away or close your eyes in about 1 second. And if you could be forced to stare at it you would probably go blind in the first 10 seconds and before the 20 minutes were up your eyeballs would probably explode from the heat.
-
I honestly don't know because I stared into it for about an hour around noon and my sight is still fine. But everybody's different so all I can say is eye problems are not guaranteed
-
Involuntary reflexes will force you to look away.
-
Your retinas would fry. You'd be blinded permanently even after a single minute or less.
-
Burn your eyes out. You would go blind after one minute and stay blind forever.

Try it and find out :)
