How is plant and animal life impacted by solar flares
-
Solar flares never actually leave the sun's vicinity (they don't travel to Earth). So a solar flare can't affect the biosphere.
Flares can be accompanied by increased solar wind and magnetic activity, and these can affect the upper atmosphere (creating aurorae).
A CME is not a physical object, its a ball of ionized plasma - if its the right polarity and hits the Earth's magnetic field, it can create very bright aurorae and cause problems for satellites in high orbit.
If a CME that hits us is particularly strong, it can cause damage to the ozone layer which could contribute to increased UV radiation at the surface.
I guess its just too hard to do a bit of research for homework. So much easier to ask someone else for the answer - after all, when you get a job in the real world your employer won't require you to do your own work or anything...

Little to none at all.
