What do you guys think of what scientist think of in 2012

I think that the world will not end that date because the only person that knows is God

True Scientist KNOW nothing is going to happen in 2012.

All the Doomsday stories are a HOAX and you fell for it. LOL

There is no scientist in the world that says or can prove if the world will end in 2012. There is no evidence to prove any catastrophic event will destroy the Earth.

I know the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, but the thing is, they couldn't predict that their entire race would be wiped off the face of the Earth. How can they predict the end of the world?

If you had a opportunity study history you'd be aware that every time we have a recession the end of the world crowd; comes out with all the Armageddon theories.
It will happen many more times during your life.

Like the other people are saying no scientist can prove it will end in 2012 BUT no scientist can prove that it WONT end in 2012. I for one believe it will end. The mayan calendar predicts astronomical events 1000 years in the future but it suddenly ends. There is a reason for that im not sure what it is but it does end. One thing you need to always keep in your mind is that the mayans say NOTHING about the world ending so they do not make any predictions of the end of the world people are assuming the world will end. I find it strange that the mayans pick their calendar to end in the year of the next solar maximum and also to end on the day of the winter solstice. So in the next year we should be seeing an increase in solar activity and possibly have a couple x class solar flares. We have definitely seen an increase in magnitude 7.0+ earthquake activity in the past 7 years. One of the reasons for this is because Elenin is entering our solar system. If you google elenin you will find tons of videos about it. Elenin will align with the earth and the sun on the night of september 26th and will cause a massive earthquake possibly a 9.0 or larger. We have seen extremely strange weather recently...remember all of those tornados in north carolina, alabama, and joplin missouri? We had a very active tornado season. And now my final reason why it seems like the end times. All of this economic crisis. August 8th 2011 the stock markets will plummet due to the US credit downgrade and also due to the current debt crisis in europe. I remember in the bible it says a sign of the end times is that there will be unrest in the middle east. all you have to do is look at the news and see reports of mass deaths in syria. The war in lybia. And protests in israel.
