I was outside today after it rained, and I noticed some worms on the sidewalk. They're usually on the sidewalk after it rains, so I was wondering if worms are in some water drops then the water bursts and the worm comes out? How does that work? Do worms live in clouds?

No, they don't fall from th sky.
They do come up out of the saturated ground during a rain to avoid drowning,
(they breath through their moist skins), and often wind up on the side-walk,
unable to burrow back down when the rain stops.

They come from stork poop. Do you think only human children come from storks? That is stringent whack.
