As can seen from the last one that hit Japan in March. The impact was devastating. It knock down concrete Nuclear power plants. Homes, buildings and all infrastructure within range were completely destroyed. Damages done is still felt until today.

Well, this is a very complex question, or rather it is the answer that is way to complex for the forum we are in. In essence, the water destroys the infrastructure, the habitat, and sometimes kills many in the process as monster waves roll inland, sometimes for MILES from the shoreline. Use your common sense. What do YOU think happens when the land is inundated by water in huge volumes and buildings and people are literally washed away? Are your fingers broken? Are you unable to use a search engine?
