Supposin' something happened and we all suddenly ran out of fossil fuel - okay it wouldn't happen overnight, but what if it happened over the course of a month. How would you cope in your life? Would you try to modify your car? Would you bicycle everywhere? Walk?
How would it affect you and your family?
How would it affect you and your family?

Given that around 70-80% of the electricity produced in the US comes from fossil fuels, personal transportation would probably be the least of my concerns. I would be more concerned about "Where is my food going to come from" with no trucks, trains, or boats to move it, and no refrigeration to keep it fresh. And also "Where will I get clean water" since water systems rely on electricity.
