07 x10^-23 = 7.The correct ratio is 9.118.71 g/mol divided by 12.If you wanted to do it by the mass of one atom,1) 118.......
i have to find the ratio of the average of one atom of tin: average mass of one atom of carbon

the average mass of one carbon atom is 2.07 x10^23
the average mass of tin is 1.58x10^-22

it also asks underneath in theory , what is the correct value of the above ratio

please help and provide workings

Correction:

the average mass of one carbon atom is 2.07 x10^-23

The ratio is:

1.58x10^-22 / 2.07 x10^-23 = 7.63

The correct ratio is 9.88 and here is how I did it:

118.71 g/mol divided by 12.011 g/mol

If you wanted to do it by the mass of one atom, do this:

1) 118.71 divided by 6.022 x 10^23
2) 12.011 divided by 6.022 x 10^23
3) divide the answer to one by the answer to two.

It will be the same as 118.71 / 12.011
