I need to get back at a friend of mine and I was going to make some methylene blue brownies. I'm just wondering if the stuff they use in aquariums is safe.

i did that prank once, but with lab grade methylene blue. it's actually the same as for aquarium but i don't know the concentration of yours
i put it in a drink (only coke and coffee works). i had to try it myself first so i know that when you put it in beverages it's quite difficult to have a too high dose cuz of the taste and the color and the LD50 is over 1g/kg [rat]
with brownies it looks different. i don't know how the stuff react when heated. especially since it undergoes decomposition at ~180°C

Safe for fish? yes. For humans? I don't think so. It can cause blindness.
