I am re-asking this question to get more input. I've added more photos.
I bought this necklace in an antique store yesterday.
Can anyone identify the stones in this necklace?
The crystals of both of the colored stones are HEXAGONAL.
Here are photos of the necklace:

1. Hexagonal crystals rule out jasper, agate or chert.
2. I was thinking that the stones are a form of quartz and probably citrine, but the stones are definitely opaque, and the photos of natural citrine seem to show some translucence.
3. Also, they would have had to have been treated to be this color, and they look like natural stones.
Does anyone know of any other hexagonal crystals that would fit the description? There are no rock stores or other resources in my area for acquiring this information.

I believe you have it right that they are citrine. If you check these photos, you will see that they are similar.
The smaller crystals

The larger crystals

From the pictures I would say the stones you have bought are quartz, the shapes and twinning are very typical for quartz crystals. The coloration looks as though it is due the crystals having been formed in conditions where iron was present in an oxidized form creating the brown and yellowish colors (as seen in rust which is a mixture of various iron oxides).
Hope that helps a bit.
