answers:
nbsale say: Both are even. Divide both by 2, or any larger power of 2, and keep doing that until one of the numbers is odd. (And again and again.) Then see if there are any more common factors.

-
say: 2.56 /1.92 = 4/3
-
Paul say: So you're starting with 256:192

Look for common factors:
256 = 2^8
192 = 2^6 * 3

divide both by 2^6

2^(8-6) : 3
=2^2 : 3
=4:3

-
? say: 256/192 = (16×16)/(16×12)
= 16/12 = (4×4)/(4×3) = 4/3
