Do you believe there might be a possibility to believe in time and space travel through physics and not through fantasy?

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 17-03-31] [Hit: ]
Exactly what you are thinking right now.The whole box and dice. Now a thousand years from now we insert those brainwaves into a target. Would they now be experiencing what it is like to be you here and now? Is there any discernable difference between that and going to the past as far as the subject is concerned? The key is that they are REPLAYING the past.......

Andrew Smith say: No I do not. Not in the way that the average student perceives time travel anyway.
There are too many philosophical objections that render it unbelievable.

However what about a different way.
Let us imagine that, without time travel, all the brainwaves of some other person could be somehow beamed into you.
Would you be them? You would see, feel and think what they are thinking. Your arms and legs would move.
How could you imagine that you are not them.

OK now we store these brainwaves today. Exactly what you are thinking right now. The whole box and dice.

Now a thousand years from now we insert those brainwaves into a target.
Would they now be experiencing what it is like to be you here and now?
Is there any discernable difference between that and "going to the past" as far as the subject is concerned?

The key is that they are REPLAYING the past. Completely unable to alter any of it. And completely oblivious to the fact that they are in the past at any time.

Not only that but when returned how could they have any memories of the trip that they took?

So there would never be any evidence that it had or had not happened. Even if it happened regularly.

Fazaldin A say: No Not At all.

Michael say: YES Absolutely & since I sent info concerning space to NASA. Others are using my info to travel around the moon within 2 years. ( Info. I gave NASA came from a co worker of my DAD Werner Von Brown years ago). Mike

7Flightsup say: You can believe in anything that is logical to you.

Goldamainia say: Yes, but when I'm long dead...hopefully in my lifetime though. We'll never be able to travel faster than the speed of light like in movies and stuff, because anything that has mass cannot travel the speed of light or faster. So pretty much, we'll never be able to pull a Han Solo and jump into hyperspace and end up on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy or something.
