No --BUT-- and you may find this interesting....

Chickens do require a rooster, BUT since a female chicken is ZW and Males are ZZ...chickens will turn into males without the required amount of estrogen....mammals turn into females without the required amount of testosterone. AND since only one ovary develops at a time in birds, it is not unheard of for ovarian cancer to destroy the functioning ovary while leaving the dormant one intact. If that happens the dormant ovary will develop into a testes and the "hen" can then become a functioning rooster and father chicks even though she may have already been a mother hen. How about that for some interesting info?

No, chickens do require a rooster to reproduce.

What you're thinking of as "asexual reproduction" is called, "parthenogenesis". Parthenogenesis is when an animal can reproduce without the presence or participation of a male of that species. This occurs in some species of snakes, amphibians and fish, but has not been documented to occur with chickens.

The term "asexual reproduction" is usually reserved for lower life forms such as sea anemones, or single celled animals that reproduce by splitting into two or budding off many, duplicates of itself.
