I need a sort of glue that I can make or buy that will EASILY dissolve in water, ie one that doesn't need to soak. It has to stick a string to plastic, and be strong enough to hold a small weight. But the most important thing is that it will dissolve in water. I need help by Thursday!

If you wrap the string about the plastic stick, and use Elmer's Glue to hold the ends of the string together, that should work.
