If ETs found and were visiting Earth, or indeed decided to visit us then it seems pretty obvious to me that they are far, far more intelligent and technologically advanced than we are.
If they were not then they would not have the technology to find us and even more importantly they would not have the technological know to reach us.
Even if life exists in the nearest Galaxy (Andromeda) to Earth it is 2.5 million light years from Earth and that life would need to be thousands or 100s or even 1000s of years ahead of us in technology to be able to reach us.
