2x + 5 over 5 = 3x + 1 over 2 + (-x + 7) over 2

CORRECT ANSWER:
-5

(2x + 5)/ 5 = (3x + 1 )/ 2 + (-x + 7)/ 2
(2x + 5)/ 5 = (3x + 1 -x + 7)/ 2
(2x + 5)/ 5 = (2x +8)/ 2
(2x + 5)/ 5 = x +4
2x + 5= 5x+20
3x = -15
x = -5
