Sqrt 6x+1=x-1

I don't know how to attempt this problem do I square it? I did that and them I end up with things I can't simplify?

-
Square both sides:
6x + 1 = (x-1)^2

Expand:
6x + 1 = x^2 - 2x + 1

Combine like terms:
x^2 - 8x = 0

Factor:
x(x-8) = 0

Solve for x:
x = 0 and x = 8

-
√(6x+1) =x-1

Squaring both sides we get:

(6x+1)=(x-1)²

(6x+1)=x²-2x+1

6x+1-x²+2x-1=0

-x²+8x=0

x²-8x=0

x(x-8)=0

x=0 or x=8

-
Sqrt (6x + 1) = x - 1
6x + 1 = x^2 - 2x + 1
x^2 - 8x = 0
x(x - 8) = 0
Solutions:
x = 0
x = 8
