It says to find the product of: (3x) and (2x^2+x-6). Does that mean multiply and if so how? Thanks!

Yes, “product” means to multiply them together.

So you use the distributive property and multiply this way:

First term: (3x) X (2x^2) = 6x^3

Second term: (3x) X (x) = 3x^2

Third term: (3x) X (-6) = -18x

Putting all that together we have:

6x^3 + 3x^2 – 18x

Hope that helps!

x=
(((sqrt(9y^2-55y-1323))/36)+
((18y-55)/216))^(1/3)
+(37/(36(((sqrt(9y^2-55y-1323))/36)
+((18y-55)/216))^(1/3)))
-(1/6)
