What is the density of an asteroid

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-11-27] [Hit: ]
density = 1000 kg / 0.This is just a little bit more dense than water. If you go to the reference, you will find out that this is not unusual.......
If it is a
1) Sphere
2) has mass of 1000kg
3) diameter 1.2 meter
4) volume of sphere= 4/3 pi r^3.

I thought you wanted an asteroid in general. Here is some interesting reading on the topic.

Here is the answer to your question.

m = 1000 kg
radius = diameter / 2 = 1.2 m / 2 = 0.6 m
V = 4/3 pi r^3
V = 4/3 * 3.14 * (0.6)^3
V = 0.904 m^3

density = mass / V
density = 1000 kg / 0.904 m^3 = 1105 kg / m^3

This is just a little bit more dense than water. If you go to the reference, you will find out that this is not unusual.
