It is already balanced.2.3.You dont need the water on both sides.......
1.) Baking Soda & Vinegar:
The unbalanced equation illustrated by this reaction is:
NaHCO3 + CH3COOH → CO2 + H2O + NaC2H3O2
Balance the above equation.

1a.) This actually represents two types of equations. The first is a decomposition equation where the vinegar and baking soda are broken into their composite ions. The second equation would be which type:
(a) decomposition (b) displacement (c) double displacement (d) synthesis

2.) Raw Potato & Hydrogen Peroxide:
The unbalanced equation illustrated by this reaction is:
H2O2 → H2O + O2
Balance the above equation.

2a.) The potato in this reaction serves as a catalyst. What type of reaction does this represent?
(a) decomposition (b) displacement (c) double displacement (d) synthesis

3.) The unbalanced equation illustrated by this reaction is:
Fe + H2O + O2 → Fe2O3 + H2O
Balance the above equation.

3a.) Indicate which type of reaction it is:
(a) decomposition (b) displacement (c) double displacement (d) synthesis

Classifying Reactions
(all numbers are below the letters at the bottom right.. NOT above them at the top right)

1. For the first one just count the number of Na's, C's, H's and O's on each side. It is already balanced.

2.double the peroxide and the water

3. You don't need the water on both sides. Get rid of them

2 Fe +3 O2 ----------------> 3 Fe2O3
