Isn't the galaxy an atom, not the solar system

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-10-29] [Hit: ]
Never assume an analogy is an exact representation. If someone said a group of teenage girls is like a flock of chickens, you would not expect to stuff a pillow with their feathers.-The nuclear forces that define an atom are very different than the gravitaional forces that define a planetary system. Its a very outdated model, and a wasted way of thinking.......

run with it.

people have said that the solar system is an atom
fail
what people have said is the solar system is LIKE an atom, with a central nucleus (sun) and orbiting electrons (planets).

Never assume an analogy is an exact representation.
If someone said a group of teenage girls is like a flock of chickens, you would not expect to stuff a pillow with their feathers.

It's a very outdated model, and a wasted way of thinking.

Never compare the two again.

You will be better off for that.

Dude, if you can't tell the difference between an atom and a galaxy, it's no wonder you messed up the dose on your meds.

-
Dude....it's just a saying. You took it a bit too literary.

-
Can I have some of that?
