Help with these 3 math problems please..?(9 grade stuff)

1. If g(x) = 3(x - 2), find the value of x if g(x) = 6.
2. If h(x) = 2x + 3, find the value of x if h(x) = 9.
3. If g(x) = x^2 + 2, find g(3).

Sorry, but i do online school, and they only let us take it 3 times..
And the first time i got a 70, then i got a 60.
and this is my last time, so help please. And i don't even see how i'm getting them wrong. :/

1.
6 = 3(x - 2) replace g(x) with 6, and solve for x
2 = x-2 divide by 3
4 = x add 2

2.
9 = 2x + 3 replace h(x) with 9, and solve for x
6 = 2x subtract 3
3 = x divide by 2

3.
g(3) = 3^2 + 2 replace x with 3, solve
g(3) = 9 + 2 square the 3
g(3) = 11 add

put the value of 6 in place of g(x)

so
6=3(x-2)
then remove brackets
6= 3x - 6
then balance the equation
so if you take away 6 on the right side of the equation then you need to add 6 to the left side
therefore
the answer is
6+6 =3x
12 = 3x
so again balance the equation ( the right side is 3 times x) so divide the 3 out on the opposite side
therefore the answer is x = 4

1) you plug in 6 for x and then you would get 3(6-2) and you do PEMDAS

same goes for all of them
