Potatoes rose from 97 to 98 by about 50%
It is not hard really Alex. I guess uni is not for you mate,
___
The question is designed to throw you off the trail. It talks of currency but the talk is irrelevant when the question is simply from the money figures stated which food or animal went up or down by the largest %.

I'm not sure what to answer about 35. The commentary means that the British Pound (the unit of currancy in Scotland) varied quite a bit. That has an influence on take home pay for farmers. The higher the pound for an exporter (someone who sells their goods to someone not living in Scotland), the more the person buying it is going to have to pay. Therefore he's going to buy less of it and the Scotish farmer is going to get less.
If the pound drops in value (let's say it goes from 1.60 dollars to 1.50 dollars [American]) then the American thinks he is getting a good deal and can buy more. That may or may not make up for the difference in the currancy for the Scotish farmer. I don't really know how you can tell from the information given.
