I was wondering if golden retrievers smelly dogs? Do they shed a lot of fur? Are they good around kids/babies? Do they need a lot of room? Do they need a lot of exercise?

They're not any smellier than typical non-smelly dogs. They shed some fur; it's worse when they're shedding the winter coat. They are very good around kids and babies. They don't need a crazy amount of exercise, but they should have some.
They are very typical to any dog and have great personalities.

Retrievers are not any smellyer than any other dogs. If a dog has long hair, they need to be combed more, just like people. I've had more experience with labs, very cosistant behavior. I've heard with retreivers they are either air heads or super intellegent, not much in between, both FUN! All breeds need exercise, and a bath once in awhile, just like people.

ALL dogs shed.
ALL dogs require TRAINING.

& NOT a zoology question.
