Question about time zones

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-06-25] [Hit: ]
You know when we put our clocks forwards or backwards? Well it is a bit like that but across the whole world. You see the sun rises and sets at a different time in Australia and England (for example) and that is why there is a huge time difference between them.Because as the earth spins (it takes 24 hours) the sun stays stationary so as one part of the earth is moving away from the sun the other part is coming towards it and it would be silly if the whole world kept to the same time as the general rule of night is dark and day is light would not apply (it would be different in each country).......
So if something on tv says it will air at 7 pm centeral time, and 8 pacific will it air at the same moment, but just be a different time on their clocks? Or do pacfic ppl have to wait until 8 their time to watch it.

Right now it's 2:13 am at my country.

And if you ask yourself: Why do time zone exist?

Because of the sun. You know when we put our clocks forwards or backwards? Well it is a bit like that but across the whole world. You see the sun rises and sets at a different time in Australia and England (for example) and that is why there is a huge time difference between them.
