I have a fridge that hasn't been moved out of place for several years now, and just recently when random spots of water began appearing in front of it, I resolved to move the fridge to see if there was a leak underneath. When I moved it, I found a huge patch of icky, slimy and green mold underneath the fridge.
I was wondering if this kind of mold would be dangerous to touch or inhale. I stress that this mold has been accumulating for years, and I can only speculate how I haven't noticed the smell before.
Any sources about this to validate your claims would also be welcome!
Thanks!

For people with allergies, all molds are trouble.
But typically it is the black wood molds that cause toxic/respiratory problems, not the green food ones.
Wear a particulate mask, gloves, use a soft spray foaming fungicidal cleanser to encapsulate the spores while cleaning, immediately throw out your dirty paper towels, wash up and change/wash clothes afterwards.
and check your refrigerator evaporator pan/tubing for leaks or improper placement, it's the probable source for the water as is the ice maker line.
