Logical Reasoning and Problem Solving Questions help

Can someone please help me with these questions for an upcoming exam? I've got the answers but I'm confused as to how one would arrive at the answer...

1.In Islandia, bullfighting has been carried on over centuries. Not everyone is in favour of bullfighting. There are equal numbers of men and women in Islandia. Ten per cent of Islandians are against bullfighting. Of these, seven out of ten are women. All others like bullfighting.

The number of:
(a) men who do not like bullfighting, as a proportion of all men, is 3 out of 50.
(b) men who do not like bullfighting, as a proportion of all men, is 3 out of 47.
(c) women who do not like bullfighting, as a proportion of all women, is 7 out of 10.
(d) women who do not like bullfighting, as a proportion of all women, is 7 out of 43.

2.Suppose that just one of the following four statements is true.

Statement I: None of these four statements is true.
Statement II: The previous statement is true.
Statement III: The previous statement is false.
Statement IV: The previous statement is false.

The true statement must be:
(a) Statement I.
(b) Statement II.
(c) Statement III.
(d) Statement IV.


The answers are (a) and (c) but I don't understand how the answer is obtained...

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

OK, for number 1, assume there are 100 people on the island. So 50 men and 50 women.
Also as 10% are agains bull fighting - so 10 against, 90 for.
Of this 10, 7 are women, 3 are men. So in the the remaining 90, you have 50-7 = 43 women and 50-3=47 men.

So look at the statements :
a =Men who do not like bullfighting = 3/50, so TRUE
b =FALSE per above
c &d=Women who don't like it = 7/50 FALSE

2)
For this need to assume each is true and the rest are false.
If I is true, then the all are false, but we know I is true, so can't be right.
