Hey I love Jesus!
The law of conservation of mass simply states that during any chemical reaction, the amount of mass of reactants will always be equal to the mass of the products. In other words, no mass is lost during the chemical reaction. So using this law, we can see that the total mass of the reactants (the left hand side of the equation) is 105g + 10g or 115g (I simply added the masses of the Iron (III) chloride and Sodium hydroxide because they are the reactants). Now knowing that the mass of all the products must be equal to the total mass of the reactants (115g) I can set up an equation to solve for the missing mass of NaCl.
115g = 100g + x :
Where x represents the unknown mass of Sodium Chloride in grams. The 100g comes from the Fe(OH)3 because it is part of the products. You can then solve for x and the mass of NaCl should be 15g.
Good Luck on Chem and feel free to ask about anything else! :)
