I have an allergic rash that is infected with staph. The Dr. prescribed antibiotics and a steroid cream. I know with the antibiotics I must be diligent and continue the course all the way through without interruption or quitting because it looks better already.
Is it the same with the steroid cream? It says to apply sparingly twice a day (Dr. said on the really bad areas). Do I have to apply to all the same areas twice daily, or just whatever areas are bad at the time? Can I stop using it after a couple days if there is improvement already?
I'll call my Dr. if I don't get a decent response, but it's easier for me to ask on here.
Thanks.

The downside is that it would not work. You can stop when the rash is gone, but for at least the first few days you should use as prescribed--that is the formulation that has been found to work the best.
