I just did something like this for your chimpanzee vs lion question and it took me forever. Sorry but I don't think I'm up to the challenge to do another one especially with the more questions you added. I'll leave this to the other answerers...............................… mind I just have a strong urge to answer your question but i'll make it as short as possible

more aggressive: lion it is a predator therefore needs aggression to outcompete rivals and other predators and actively hunt prey

better alpha: see "which males protect thier families better"

Better fighter: lions. Male lions rivals to the death while conflicts between gorillas hardly end that way

Better parents: gorillas. Infants have very close bonds with their mothers and their mothers personally care for their young longer than lions do.

Which male protects their family better: tie. Both males will die fighting for thier families and keeping them safe. Male gorillas keep their family safe from predators and will even confront armed humnas that may seem like threats to thier troops. Male lions keep thier prides safe from rival males and secures their territory.

larger family: gorillas. Troops can contain up to 30 members while a large lion pride can consist of up to 22.

Overall better animal: your opinion. Both species are surviving and maintain genetic diversity there only threats are humans.
