idk what im doing wrong. i subtracted the final velocity from initial and multiplied it with the mass. then i divided it by the time. i need help! THANK YOU!

A(n) 0.51 kg softball is pitched at a speed of
17 m/s. The batter hits it back directly at the
pitcher at a speed of 24 m/s. The bat acts on
the ball for 0.014 s.
What is the magnitude of the average force
exerted by the bat on the ball during contact?
1. 2413.64 N
2. 2040 N
3. 738 N
4. 1111.58 N
5. 1075 N
6. 1534.62 N
7. 1493.57 N

-
7. 1493.57 24 + 17 = 41 Then multiply by 0.51, and divide by 0.014

You did it right. If you got the wrong answer, you must have pressed the wrong button somewhere.
