What is that spider legs looking thing on the moon

Do you mean, in a photo of a moon landing site on the surface? Or that you're seeing that as you look at the moon in the sky? I can see the moon in the daylight sly where I am now, and it looks like a normal mid-afternoon first quarter or half moon. A bit more detail would help.
