An equation of a line tangent to the graph of y=3x-cosx at x=0 is

Choices:

A y= 2x
B y= 2x-1
C y=3x+1
D y=3x-1
E y=4x

-
y=3x-cos(x)
dy/dx=3+sinx for x=0 the slope is
dy/dx=3+sin(0)
=3
y(0)=3(0)-cos(0)
=-1
so the equation is

(y+1)=3x
y=3x-1 answer D

-
answer is D

cos(0) = 1

so by replacing the cosx with 1

y=3x - 1

if your wondering whats the value of y

y = 3(0) - 1

y = -1

-
y' = 3+sinx
y'(0) = 3
y = 3x+y(0) = 3x-1
Answer: D

-
The answer is obviously banana.

-
no doubt about that
