c is the speed of light and a is amplitudeThe wavelength amplitude is given in millimeters and the speed of light in m/s. Do I need to convert mm to m in this case?-The equation is f = c/λ, where λ is wavelength, not amplitude. The amplitude has nothing to do with the speed or frequency.......
I have a simple problem. I have to find the frequency in hertz of a electromagnetic wave.
F=c/a where f is frequency, c is the speed of light and a is amplitude
The wavelength amplitude is given in millimeters and the speed of light in m/s. Do I need to convert mm to m in this case?

-
The equation is f = c/λ, where λ is wavelength, not amplitude. The amplitude has nothing to do with the speed or frequency.

Yes - make sure:
λ is in metres (divide mm by 1000)
c is in m/s
f is in Hz
