Bottomless pitfall theory

The speed at which this happens is called terminal velocity and for a human this is around 200 km/h.cheers :)-No. Reaching the speed of light is impossible. According to modern physics principles you would fall forever, getting closer and closer to the speed of light.-no.......
If i fall into a bottomless pit with earth's gravity as acceleration, will i eventually reach speeds that are faster than the speed of light

-
You can't explain the increase of mass without going into the special relativity theory. I can however say that if the bottomless pit is filled with air (or a different gas), you would reach a constant speed much sooner than when any mass increases become noticeable, because the resistance force of the air will cancel out the gravity force. The speed at which this happens is called terminal velocity and for a human this is around 200 km/h.

firstly there is nothing faster than the speed of light otherwise all that einstein has mentioned is bulls**t
secondly you will go through simple harmonic motion about the centre of the earth as the acceleration is always directed towards it
cheers :)

no. as you get faster, your mass increases and your rate of acceleration slows so that you can approach, but never reach or exceed the speed of light
