what are 5 facts that support the theory that the dinosaurs were killed by a meteor. I would really appreciate your help :)

You know this is generally accepted theory, but not fully proven -- It is the best current explanation of the extinction of the dinosaurs, though.
1. Big round crater in the Northern Yucatan that appears to have been made at the same time as the extinction.
2. Layers of "different" minerals in the strata at that time that could be dust from that impact.
3. The Meteor or Comet or whatever could have (COULD HAVE) caused a great disruption in the global weather -- starting an ice age, etc. which cold-blooded dinosaurs might not have been able to cope with.
There must be more... but I do Astronomy, not Biology, Geology, or evolution.
But... a (modern) bird is thought to be closely related to dinosaurs (check out the turkey - dinosaur connection) so maybe they didn't all die off.

1.Well they found a huge meteor crater that can be dated right to the end of the dinosaurs time.
2.They found Iridium at exactly the same spot (ground level) world wide..like it covered the globe and settled, right at the end of the dino time
3.There is not much else that can kill 99% of all the life on Earth.

Chicxulub Crater
Shocked quartz granules
Glass spherules
Global iridium layer
Carbon layer at many localities just above iridium layer
No dinosaur fossils above iridium layer
