I was told by a guy at my church that this comet elenin was going to pass the earth and when it does it will lock onto our magnetic field and flip the planet over and then mess up our brains to the extent where we'll pee our pants and forget everything and just go "gee what was that?", and it will all take about 28 minutes. I'm really scared he said its in the bible. What can I do to prepare?

Comet Elenin is a very small comet, which currently seems to be breaking up. It poses no danger to anyone on Earth. The guy at your church is either a liar or a fool.

Elenin is about 4 km across - that's half the size of Mt Everest.
And it won't get any closer than about 35 million kilometers - that's about 100 times as far as the moon, or about as close as the planet Venus gets.
The stuff he was talking about is more of that tedious and pathetically wrong hoax that was started in 2003 - people with no science education just add whatever they want to the hoax to deceive people.
The Bible says NOTHING about Elenin, or magnetic fields shifting. It talks about armageddon, but that is hardly caused by an insignificant comet that won't even be visible to the naked eye.

Well, ..., it's not in the Bible. The Bible says nothing of the sort. You should read it so you'll know what is says and meat-heads like the on who talk to wont be able to sway your opinion or manipulate you with fear tactics.
