okay, I understand that a wormhole can go to another point in space instantly, I understand that black holes theoretically could wormholes. the travel part I get. but go through time? I mean, seriously, time technically isn't even real, it's just a word we use for describing the rotation of the earth, right?

By the way time is not kept by our earths rotation. It is kept from oscillation rates of atoms. This is why time dilation can actually make someone "go" into the future, because time goes slower at faster speeds.
Say you go light speed, which wont happen because of the narrowing and also spaghettification of all your particles, if you go the speed of light for ten years (your time) and do a loop and come back to earth at the end of the ten years, your time would have only passed ten years yet Earths time would be 1,000 years in the future.

Time isn't a thing, it is more of a concept. And you don't need a wormhole to travel if you don't expend energy to get from one point to another. "Time travel" is a bastardized term in that it isn't a legitimate term. You wouldn't actually travel through a thing called time. But if you think of the Universe as being the totality of existence, then everything that you think of as having had existed as well as all that will exist actually is a part of that. The Universe would always have existed, all the so-called past, present and future, and any event would simply be a point in the Universe.

Yes, as of now, that wormhole business is pure speculation,
and pretty far out at that.
Time however, is quite real, just very weird.
It requires imaginary numbers to deal with it in relativity.

WORMHOLES DONT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!
-
...wormholes DO exist - I just saw one in my apple.

Quite simply, yes. Space and time are an inseoarable duo and are co-functional and co-dependent... they operate as one. Hence if tyou were to modify space, you would simultaneously be mofifying time. By going through a wormhole - which by the way requires an enormous amount of energy to create - you would be going therough a region if severely distorted space, ie. it would be twisted into a "funnel-like" structure which actually exixt in aniother space-time or if you like in another "dimension" or parallel space-time.
The time inside this anomaly is reduced in its rate of flow so that if you went in one end of the "
tunnel" and came out the other end you would come out at virtually the same moment you went in relative to this "normal" space-time in whcih the entire episode is taking place. Inside the "tunnel " however it wiould require "time" to travel but in this case the trip is very short compared to the apparent length of the "tunnel" in "normal" space-time, see?
You would of course require a special type of space-ship operating on a different principle of motion. Such a ship would create its own independent space-time about it and would therefore be unaffected by the surrouinding anomalies takling place.
