You are given the four points in the plane A=(2, 4), B=(−4, 6), C=(7, 8), and D=(9, 1). The graph of the function f(x) consists of the three line segments AB, BC and CD. Find the integral

by interpreting the integral in terms of sums of areas of elementary figures.

draw the trinangle on a graph, and split the trinangles into parts.

since it's form 2-9 along the x-axis, you should be able to find a slope function in a form of y=ax+b

it's easy
