A triangle with vertices A(–3, 4), B(3, 1),and C(–1, –5) is translated 5 units left and 3 units up. Find the coordinates of A', B', and C'.

a. A'(–2, 7)
B'(8, 4)
C'(–7, –2)

b. A'(–8, 7)
B'(2, –4)
C'(6, 2)
c. A'(–8, 7)
B'(–2, 4)
C'(–6, –2)

d. A'(–8, 1)
B'(–2, –2)
C'(–6, –8)

I've tried to figure this out i don't know how many times already, and I still cant get the right answer.. Any help finding it, with an explanation on how you got the answer, would be really appreciated!

-
5 units left = subtract 5 from all of the x values.
3 units up = at 3 to all of the y values

A' (-8,7)
B' (-2,4)
C' (-6,-2)

The answer is C

-
subtract 5 from all your x values and add 3 to all your y values
(-8,7)=A'
(-2,4)=B'
(-6,-2)=C'

-
This is on my A-Level maths homework right now!! I cant figure it out. First I got A and then B and now C lol. I give up XD

-
at each point, subtract 5 from the first number and add 3 to the second number
