How would I do this? I need the answer is Hours:Minutes:Seconds format. An example would help. The earth is at 149 million km from the sun. Whats my answer?Just multiply the distances by 1000 to get them in meters instead of kilometers.......
I know the speed of light is 299792458 m/s. I have 8 distances to work with (million kilometers) since I'm finding how long it takes light from the sun to travel to the 8 planets in our solar system. How would I do this? I need the answer is Hours:Minutes:Seconds format. I know it takes light around 8 minutes to get from the sun to the earth so if it was exactly 8 minutes my answer would be 00:08:00

An example would help. The earth is at 149 million km from the sun. What's my answer?

Distance/velocity = time

Just multiply the distances by 1000 to get them in meters instead of kilometers.
