Where will it land relative to ?Can someone please help I cant figure out these last 2 parts at all?-The boat moves 3 meter per second at right angle to the flowof the water. From point A to B on the shore.Hence it would have to travel a distance of 20 meters at 90 degree angle. The total distance that the boat has moved is equal to 20/3 + 20 meters-Your question isnt complete .......
1. Suppose the boat's motor is low on gas, so that the person guiding it wants to get to the opposite bank as quickly as possible and does not care where the boat lands. In what direction should this person steer the boat?
2. Where will it land relative to ?
Can someone please help I can't figure out these last 2 parts at all?

The boat moves 3 meter per second at right angle to the flow of the water. From point A to B on the shore.Hence it would have to travel a distance of 20 meters at 90 degree angle.
the time it would take would be = T=20/3 seconds
within that time it moves down stream a distance of 20/3 x 1 meters
The total distance that the boat has moved is equal to 20/3 + 20 meters
