im an aspiring engineer and need to make blue prints for a project. Which is freeware or which is easy to learn and use. I dont mind buying it.

Flat-out easiest would be Google SketchUp, but you can't really do anything serious with it. I'd recommend SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
