What are those massive sphere shaped building that the do research in

I know one project was one where people were locked in there for like a year or two years or something. It might be called a biodome? Or something? anyone know what im talking about>?

Biodome is what you descibed. The generic term for the type of building is Geodesic Dome.

Although it was called a biodome, it was not in fact dome shaped but was an all glass covered sealed environment and was a massive failure both scientifically and socially. The people doing it were so dedicated to the idea that they concealed the fact that the environment was failing. Several were taken out with lung problems, as I recall.

If we are going to build cities off Earth we need to make them as near self sufficient as possible. The structure was built near Tuson, Arizona and had some success, but definitely illustrated that we have more to learn. Apparently the soil absorbed the oxygen faster than the plants could produce it. Likely the lung problems were from excessive mold spores in the habitat. I'm sure a limited budget was part of the problem.
Epcot at Disney World, Florida has a fairly successfully hydroponics demonstration that produces a significant portion of the food sold in the Disney World Parks. This solves the problem of the soil absorbing the oxygen. Neil

Your ignorance to the meaning of the word research disturbs me. You make it sound like science is evil. But anyways, the buildings are called geodesic domes.
